MEET THE TEAM

Our team consists of passionate writers, creatives and photographers from all over the world. Each of us comes from different places and backgrounds - but what unites us is our shared love for music, creativity, and storytelling.

Every member brings something unique to the table. Whether it’s writing, photography, design, or editing. Together, these different talents make BRUITMag. what it is today: a collaborative space where music and art come to life.

We believe that diversity in perspective is what keeps this project fresh and inspiring, and we are grateful for every person who contributes their time and energy towards this project.

Hi everyone! I’m Diya and I’m a Business Marketing student from California, USA, but most of my time is spent somewhere between music, creativity, and spontaneous ideas. Music has completely shaped who I am as a person! I love traveling for concerts, exploring new cities, and collecting memories along the way. At BruitMag., I help manage artist and music outreach, conduct interviews, and occasionally write when inspiration strikes. Getting to talk with bands about the stories behind the songs that inspire us and being part of projects that celebrate the music we love has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. Indie rock is my heartbeat, and my all-time favorites will forever be Arctic Monkeys, Fontaines D.C., Inhaler, TLSP, Wunderhorse, and many more that I’ll always love talking about. BruitMag. feels like the perfect home for it all – the chaos, creativity, and community that music builds between people. It’s such a beautiful way to share our passion, and I’m genuinely grateful to be part of it. Every day here feels special. I’m always down to connect or collaborate, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hey everyone! I’m Magda, and I’m a political correspondent and lifestyle writer, plus an occasional event photographer living in London, England, born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. I am a journalist through and through, and I am gold-standard accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists. I report on pop culture, lifestyle and primarily European political news. Ever since I was a young girl, both music and writing have been all around me – and BruitMag. felt like the most appropriate place to execute my love for both art forms. It is especially comforting knowing that I get to work alongside some of my best friends, whom I met through different music fandoms in the process. I hope for BruitMag. to be a community run by fans for other fans, where we can share common interests while also building on our individual work and portfolios. My all-time favourite bands and artists are Beabadoobee, Inhaler, Lorde, Gracie Abrams, Fontaines D.C., Deftones, The Stone Roses, and many others! I’m always open to suggestions and collaborations, so feel free to reach out!

My name is Kay and I originally joined BruitMag. as a writer. It’s truly a combination of my two biggest passions: music and writing. I’ve grown up with music, one can say it’s in my veins. Since I can remember, the radio’s been playing at home. My dad even has five (!!!) cases full of CD’s, an entire collection of vinyl – which I shamelessly took over – and endless DVD’s of concerts. Something with an apple and a tree. I’m always listening to music; my playlist has a variety of artists across a variety of genres. I’m always open to discover something new, sometimes even actively seeking something new. Music is what truly makes me feel most connected to myself. Please, ask me about my favourite artists. I will never stop yapping. I started writing when I was ten years old as a fun hobby. I’ve always had an interest in telling stories – I can vividly remember drawing and making a comic for a classmate when I was like seven – so naturally, that’s what I did. Twelve years down the line and I’m still writing stories. Though, most of it exists in my head because I can’t keep to one story. I’m trying. I’m delighted to be part of the team and to show my passion and love for music with the world. To write for Bruit. and work with people who are as passionate as you is so much fun and I’m very sure we’ll do great things together!

Hello cuties! I’m Zoë, and I’d like to say I’m pretty creative, which is why I decided to join BruitMag. I mostly write for the magazine, but I also like to take pictures and videos so you might also see me pop up as one of the photographers sometimes. At some point I would love to start interviewing artists that want to work with us. I loved going to concerts ever since I was a kid. I always dragged my mom to whatever performance I might’ve liked. As a Dutch person, I grew up watching K3, which is a group of three girls performing, and acting. Believe it or not, but I attended every single tour I could go to, as just a little girl. This grew onto me, as I’m now attending as many shows as I possibly can, as a grownup. In the past few years I traveled around Europe and the UK, just to watch my favorite artists perform. I also grew up with reading a lot— and reading made me want to create, to write. I’m still learning, but I think working for BruitMag. is a great way to improve my work into whatever I’m trying to achieve — which partly is just me, trying to get more confident in my writing, and more consistent in publishing pieces. For now, BruitMag. is the only platform I’m actively writing on. Working with a team to create content for people that love the same thing as we do, is a dream coming true. Something to be proud of, which I obviously am.

Hey, everyone! I’m Sanne, from The Netherlands, and I’m part of BruitMag.’s writing team. As with most of the BruitMag. members, I am a major music lover. I adore finding new artists or songs in general, and I can spend hours curating new playlists (my current favorite band is Post Animal — you should check them out!). Besides that, I’ve been going to concerts for as long as I can remember, and since 2022 my list has only been getting longer, averaging about 45 per year. I love taking photos at concerts as well — even though it’s just me and my phone — so this might be something you’ll be able to see in the future. I’m currently studying English Language and Culture at the University of Utrecht, and I’m hoping to specialize in English Literature in the future. Since my dream is to work as either a Literary Agent or Book Editor in the UK, I read a lot, meaning I’m always interested in discovering new ways different authors write and create. This is one of the many reasons I was super excited to start writing myself as part of BruitMag. I hope we, as BruitMag., can give our readers the chance to discover new artists to obsess over (just as much as we do) and inspire them to create themselves. You can do it! Lots of love, X

Music is an ever-growing passion of mine that, in the future, I aim to get more involved in and potentially find a career in once I have finished school. Being a part of BruitMag. is an opportunity I am incredibly grateful for and one I plan to take seriously. Since the beginning I have felt nothing but welcomed and supported. This is something very important to me and hard to find due to being a younger member of this project - which only further indicates why Bruit. is the right place for me. Furthermore, since I was a child, I have always adored drawing and anything involved with creativity, so I hope to one day be able to bring this into Bruit. In the long run, I hope to develop my writing skills, learn, and meet new people with the same goals and interests as myself. On a more personal level, to help you get to know me better, my current favourite artists are Inhaler, Fontaines D.C., Sam Fender, Gurriers, and Wolf Alice (along with so many more)! Some of my favourite memories have been from gigs and I can’t thank all these artists enough for the experiences they have granted me. The people I have met through them and the boost in confidence I’ve been needing and searching for is a product of the amazing work they put in for fans. This being why I am eager to express my love for music. I am extremely proud to be associated with such a talented group of people and hope you all stick around to watch BruitMag. grow!

Hi! My name is Elke and I am a writer for BruitMag. Writing became one of my passions last year when I started my degree in Creative Business at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede, the Netherlands. Next year I will be specializing in journalism. As I admire the field of music journalism in particular, I am hoping to gain more insight into this area of expertise. I feel like I can put any emotion I feel into words, especially with my love for music. This helps me cope with various things. With my contributions to BruitMag, I aim to entertain fans with my work. At the same time, I wish to keep gaining experience and growing my talent for other future projects, and during the rest of my studies to improve my chances in my future career. However, I would love to continue writing for BruitMag, even when I graduate. In my free time, you will probably find me at a concert. As I mentioned before, my love for music goes far beyond just writing about it. I love enjoying live music from my favorite artists. I also enjoy playing the guitar, which I have been playing for quite a few years. I am a creative person in general as I absolutely adore doing art, such as painting, drawing, and graphic design. I love taking photos too for my own pleasure, and I intend to grow that talent as well. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with such talented people, who allow me to make minor beginner mistakes and give me feedback for it. This gives me the chance to keep improving and developing my work to gain more engagement for BruitMag.

Hi! My name is Violet Lyons-Dolman, I’m from Birmingham, UK and I'm a photographer for BruitMag. I’m passionate about both music and photography so I love combining the two together. I decided to work with bruitMag. as I wanted to help an up and coming music magazine and also connect with other people around the world with the same interests as me. I first got into concert photography by taking a point a shoot camera along with me to gigs and festivals I was going too when I was around 15, I fell in love with doing this especially as I don’t like to be on my phone much when watching live music as I like to be in the moment, so having a digital camera with me felt like less of a distraction but I was still able to capture the memory. I started taking more professional photographs when I was in college as I could borrow DSLR cameras from there to gain more practice. From having access to this equipment I got my first photo pass in 2023 when I was 16 and have been improving ever since. Along with this, I love taking my photographs further with mixed media by either sewing into them or working with printmaking techniques like cyanotypes and gelli printing. I also like working in graphic design, I've designed posters and logos for bands before and completed my final college project making a collection of album covers for my favourite bands.

Ciao! I am Matias, proofreader and writer for BruitMag. I was born and raised in Milan, Italy, where I currently study Translation and Interpreting for Theater and TV. Working with languages is what my degree is all about, but my passion for words and ways of expressing is rooted in my love for cinema, performative arts, literature, traveling and most of all, music. From early memories of cassette tapes and pixelated videoclips in a box-shaped TV, to my latest concert experience and Spotify playlist, my life always had tunes playing in the background. Through music I found myself and community: BruitMag stood out to me as an amazing opportunity to further expand these connections while refining my current skills and approaching new ones. Growing up queer, songs and artists helped me find confidence in my identity and a sense of belonging, so being part of a project designed to spread love for music is not only rewarding, but also empowering. Regarding my personal taste, I would say it’s been a journey of endless tales, but to make a long story short I am simply going to mention some of my favorite artists: Harry Styles, Hozier, Stephen Sanchez, The 1975, Omar Apollo, Wasia Project, The Last Dinner Party, Inhaler, Blossoms, Fontaines D.C., Conan Gray, Troye Sivan, Wallows, Chappell Roan and Yungblud. There’s many more to add but for the sake of all you readers I won’t continue the list without an explicit invitation to do so. P.S. If you keep an eye on BruitMag publications you might spot some illustrations and doodles made by yours truly!

Hello! My name is Stella, and I am a film student from Belgium. I am a photographer and writer for BruitMag. The thrill of that first concert is something I will never forget. The lights going off, the anticipation building, and then seeing one of your favorite artists sing right in front of your eyes—it’s magical. After my first concert, I knew it wouldn’t be my last. There was even a period of time in my life when all I cared about were concerts. I got my first camera when I was eleven. When I started going to concerts, I thought it would be so cool to photograph them. I wanted to go from being someone in the crowd to someone capturing the show. Now, I’m very grateful to actually be able to shoot them. I also like to think critically about art, which is why I write for BruitMag too. My music taste varies a lot. Mostly, you can find me listening to pop music or classic rock. But hit me with any genre, and I’ll find something to appreciate. My favorite artists are Chappell Roan, Amyl and The Sniffers, Pink Floyd, and The Doors. Outside of music and photography, I play the electric guitar. I also have a strong interest in musical theatre (can you find all the references in here?). What more can I say? I love music, and I found my passion in capturing everything that involves it. That’s why I am very happy to be part of this team—I can pursue my passion here!
