The upcoming band Borderline, based in New Zealand, has recently come out with the brand new single, "Tainted," released on 23 January.
Borderline, consisting of members Ben Glanfield (vocals), Jackson Boswell (drums & vocals), Matthew McFadden (lead guitar), and Max Harries (bass), is a lifelong friend group that formed a band through their shared passion for music.
They have since released an album, "Perfect Movie Scene," an EP, "Chrysalis," and multiple singles together. "Tainted" was produced by Nic Manders at Roundhead Studios, and has so far been highlighted by the British radio station BBC Introducing.
The song is a perfect example of classic indie pop and suits perfectly in the rest of Borderline’s discography. The bouncy sound of the instruments, in combination with the moving voice of lead singer Ben Glanfield, makes the song ideal for a road trip in summer.
The band has just announced a tour, during which they will be playing 14 shows together with the band Oceanic, which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They will be touring around North America, starting on 6 April.
What can we expect further from Borderline? In October 2025, the band released a single called "Terrify." Looking at these releases, it is expected that Borderline will come out with another EP or album soon. Until then, "Tainted" can be enjoyed optimally.
