The Ariston is a new indie/alternative sensation formed in 2021 by singer and guitarist Luca Slade and bassist Will Parsonson, who met in college in London, later to be joined by drummer Finn Bunce.
Whilst the band has not yet released a full-length album, they have released several singles establishing their core sound. Their first written single, “Yellow Lines,” was released in 2022, followed by “The Festival” (2024), “Simona” (2025), “I Hate It When You’re High” (2025) and their newest release on 7 November 2025, “Fiction,” distributed by Universal Music.
Their music is inspired by, among others, The Kooks and early Arctic Monkeys. The Ariston is set to play their biggest headline show yet at 229 in London on Saturday, 15 November 2025, which is also paired with their celebration of the band's fourth anniversary.
Their newest single, “Fiction,” is described as their boldest release yet and the band cannot wait to take it with them into 2026. According to frontman Luca, the song is about a feeling of never quite fitting in. “It’s about the highs, the heartbreaks and how that overlaps with relationships too,” he says.
The Ariston's fanbase seems to be a very close union. Their fanbase, called The Aristans, has watched the band grow into an exciting name in the modern UK indie landscape.
Their music creates an emotional connection with fans and offers a sense of belonging and pride. The band currently continues its amazing journey exploring their musical sound, but they clearly have a lot in store, and the expectations for an incredible album or EP are high.
