The Panamas: Artist Introduction

Diya Mehta | September 2026
Coming from Stockport, North West England, The Panamas are a five-piece band who have been steadily carving out their own place within the UK’s indie scene.
The band has continued to gain momentum while crafting a guitar-driven indie sound, combining catchy melodies with an energetic edge uniquely their own, both in their songs and in their live performances. They have many chances to engage with new audiences and take their music to new venues thanks to their expanding catalogue and steady live presence.
Whether it’s getting the audience involved to clap on beat or simply feeding off the atmosphere, The Panamas know how to make their live performances feel personal and energetic.
Most recently, the band released "Always Wanna Say (You’re Mine)" in June of this year, which leans into a bright, melodic sound with infectious guitar lines and an easygoing energy that makes the track instantly memorable.
A lot of exciting things are happening for the band right now, with new music continuing to shape their direction and more live shows giving them the chance to bring that energy to audiences across the country.
Rather than looking too far ahead, The Panamas are focused on continuing to make music they genuinely enjoy and seeing where it takes them.
Last month, we caught up with the band right before their Manchester gig to discuss their journey so far, recent releases, and the experiences that have influenced them along the way. We also spoke about their plans for the future and what listeners can expect from the band as they enter their next chapter.
