Who is Pleasure Pill?

Pleasure Pill is an indie rock band based in San Diego, California. We spoke to three of them in an interview that you can see on BRUIT.'s YouTube channel. They have been making music since childhood and after releasing multiple singles from 2023 to now, they finally released the album “Hang A Star” on 27 June 2025.
Pleasure Pill’s debut album, “Hang A Star”, consists of an extensive tracklist of ten indie rock tunes. The album definitely seems to be inspired by British rock and the band pulled this off really well. Without going into much detail of the album, I can surely say that indie rock and britpop fans will love this. Personally, I am a big fan of their songs “Don’t Fly Away” and “Line Up The Stars”. Definitely go and listen to the album on streaming devices and show it some support!
Watching performances of the band, you can see that they are trying, and notably succeeding in, keeping rock and roll alive. Not only musically, but also in the clothes they are wearing and their presence on stage. In BRUIT.’s interview with Pleasure Pill, which was released on 10 September 2025, they mentioned they want to uphold the traditions within the rock and roll culture.
Many would say that rock and roll is dead, but bands like Pleasure Pill seem to make their way into the culture and keep it alive, if not growing!
