Only a month after releasing the single “She’s So Handsome,” London-based singer Arthur Hill has released his sophomore EP, “Missed Again,” on 30 October.

Some might know Arthur from his ‘Platform Roulette’ YouTube videos, in which he, along with other UK YouTubers (think of Arthur_TV, ItalianBach, ChrisMD), picks a random train track to travel to the train’s final destination and spends the rest of the day exploring the location while enjoying a couple of drinks. Others might know him from the early TikTok years, when he went viral for pretending to be Harry Potter’s Voldemort at the dinner table to annoy his mother.

The (former) TikTok star and YouTuber has been making music since 2022, and, after releasing his debut EP “In The Middle Of Somewhere” last February, he went on his first European tour in the late spring of 2025.

Missed Again” consists of six tracks, featuring three early releases: “She’s So Handsome,” “Appetite,” and “Man In The Middle.”

The first track, and my personal favourite, “She’s So Handsome,” is an upbeat track in which Arthur talks about the girl he used to date as someone who dominated their relationship, leaving him obsessing over her. Lyrics such as “She got me round her finger while she’s taking a drag” and “She wears the trousers / She can even walk me home […] And she looks good in control” suggest the clear power dynamic in their relationship, something Arthur didn’t seem to mind.

What I appreciate most is the usage of “handsome” in the song’s title and chorus. Using this instead of “pretty,” which is most commonly used when complimenting women, is a clever way to strengthen the meaning of the song.

Track two, “Right Now,” is, besides a few TikTok and Instagram teasers, completely new to fans and is the EP’s main track. It is a fairly laid-back song, containing a cheerful melody and the sound of bells in the back during the chorus. I would recommend this song to listeners of Daniel Seavey and Niall Horan, as it has the same feel to it as most of their releases.

Appetite,” track three, is the earliest pre-release on the album, dating back to 22 May.  It is another upbeat track that comes most to its light during live shows; with Arthur having played it live during his European tour when it was still unreleased. The bridge is a vocal-less breakdown during which he lets his guitarist play a short solo.

Track four, “Back Here Again,” is a chill track, hanging on the verge of R&B with multiple wind instruments playing in the background during the bridge. The lyrics suggest a friends with benefits relationship, which Arthur seems to enjoy even though it might be dangerous for both parties: “Thought you were closed off / Now you’ve got no clothes on,” “I guess we’re back here again (oh yeah) / Always pretending we’re friends (oh no)” & “We’re stuck on dangerous ground.”

Track five, “Man In The Middle,” is another pre-release and might be the slowest track on the EP, reminding me, once again, of Niall Horan’s music.

While the song title might make it seem like Arthur has to choose between two girls, the lyrics suggest otherwise. When closely looking at lyrics such as “Don’t wanna get unattached yet / I like being stuck in old habits” and “No way, I won’t be losing something,” Arthur seems to be talking about recently ending a relationship but not wanting to let go yet.

Last, but certainly not least, is the track “Miracle.” When I spoke to another Arthur Hill fan (Senne, 22), she immediately pointed it out as her favourite. “I like it so much, it might be my second favourite of his entire discography, closely behind ‘You’re Not A God’ (released in 2023).”

“I enjoy the pre-chorus the most, it almost gives Sabrina Carpenter,” she tells me, referring to the lyrics “You're trying to hide it / But baby don't fight it / Or maybe we could put this to bed (or my bed).”

Overall, the EP is a fresh addition to Arthur’s discography, showcasing how he has improved since he started writing in 2022.

Along with opening for RUEL’s American tour, Arthur is going back on his own tour as well. The Stella Artour 2.0 Tour will be stopping in Europe this December and in Australia and New Zealand in January 2026. If you want to experience his latest EP in full glory, which I’d highly recommend, make sure to secure your tickets!
