“Yes Baby” is what we said when Madison Beer announced her comeback with the same-titled single.
The American songwriter and producer, discovered by none other than Justin Bieber at the young age of 12, has been making music for around a decade now.
It was a complete surprise to fans when she posted a short video teaser on her Instagram page, announcing she’d be releasing a brand new single on 19 September 2025. With no releases since summer 2024, Beer fans had to make do with Twitch streams and Instagram posts. She has finally returned, though, and let us tell you, it was worth the wait!
The second you hit play, it feels like you’ve been transported onto the dance floor in a busy and sweaty nightclub. This could be a deliberate choice since the single follows the same EDM feel as Beer’s last two releases, “Make You Mine” and “15 Minutes,” with a tension-and-release structure.
“Yes Baby” starts with a short verse and quickly flows into the pre-chorus, which is relatively quiet synth and beat-wise as well as vocal-wise. Madison produces a soft whisper-like vocal, creating an eerie feeling, as if she’s whispering into your ear. She continues to quiet the song even more with a drop gap, which is a completely silent breakdown except for a filtered vocal shout of “Yes Baby”, before dropping the beat into the chorus.
The chorus opposed to the pre-chorus is loud, with stacked synths, pads, vocals, and percussive loops. In the back, you can hear a repeated chant of “Yes Baby,” which acts as a perfect rhythmic marker to help create more momentum in the song. The single continues to stack all the mentioned features even more in the third and fourth choruses, creating a bigger build-up each time the chorus rolls around.
Overall, Madison Beer’s new single is a well-produced and fun song. It’s perfect for the nightclub scene, immediately giving you the feel of the flashing lights around you when listening to it. Make sure to give it a listen yourself, and give your best dance move while you’re at it!
